Maple on the Menu

Dine at a Vermont restaurant featuring a maple-inspired menu item! Whether sweet or savory, food or beverage, discover delicious maple dishes this fall as part of Maple 100. Maple 100 is a collaborative fall celebration of all things maple across Vermont.

These restaurants are featuring maple-inspired menu items throughout October. Maple is such a versatile ingredient, that was historically used much more in recipes before the introduction of cane sugar in the United States. Vermont Fresh Network chefs partner with farms and producers of all kinds, including maple sugarmakers. The creativity doesn’t stop at breakfast and baked goods, but our state’s chefs and bartenders incorporate maple into countless savory dishes, sauces, dressings, cocktails, and more.


Morse Block Deli, Barre


Chefs Stefano and Sarah will be running a month long special:

VT Maple Smoked Pork with VT Maple Sunshine Mop, VT Maple Cornbread, and our Classic Morse Block Deli Coleslaw. We will also have a rotating VT Beer Pairing (first one will be Lawson's Maple Nipple).

The Morse Block Deli is located in the heart of Barre, VT. They use premium meats and cheeses produced locally and in-house, locally baked breads, and source a large portion of their produce from nearby.


Solstice at Spruce Peak, Stowe


Chef Sean will be featuring the following dish and cocktail, with $1.00 from each item donated to Vermont Fresh Network.

Maple Cider Manhattan                                    
Smuggler’s Notch Maple Bourbon, Vermont
Apple cider, Peychaud’s bitters, cinnamon sugar

As the maple trees change color and turn Vermont’s landscapes into shades of red, orange, and yellow, our minds turn to the many ways we enjoy Vermont’s classic maple syrup. This fall, join the Vermont Agency of Agriculture to celebrate Maple 100, in partnership with Vermont Tourism, to discover hundreds of maple activities, adventures, and maple-inspired products across the state. Find events, specialty products, and learning resources for the whole family to discover new ways to enjoy Vermont’s sweetest treat.
