Farrell Distributing: Affiliate Partner ProfileSeptember 20, 2019
Farrell Distributing has been an affiliate partner and sponsor of the Vermont Fresh Network for the past five years. As a beverage distribution company, they provide high-quality beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to retailers throughout the state. Founded in 1933, they are a 4th generation family business in South Burlington and Rutland covering the entire state.
The company has a strong commitment to social responsibility and local brands. Farrell supports local organizations and signature events via volunteerism, philanthropic initiatives, and charitable giving. Farrell partners with local artisan producers (craft breweries, vineyards, cideries, meaderies, and CBD producers) with their Vermont Made line. They believe in supporting the Vermont economy and the fine beverages made in our state. Collectively, between Farrell and its VT producers, they account for over 850 jobs in the state.
One of their newest lines is CBD infused beverages. Growing in popularity, these beverages contain cannabidiol (CBD is the abbreviation), the non-psychoactive molecule found in cannabis. CBD is being used to relieve pain, promote relaxation, and lift moods. It can be added to many drinks, from seltzers to coffee, alcohol, kombucha, and more. These new beverages are enabling a larger audience access to a healthier way to consume a CBD product. Farrell Distributing recently featured some of their CBD producers at our Annual Forum Dinner in August. Farrell represents Aqua ViTea Kombucha, Long Trail Brewing Company, TreTap, and Upstate Elevator Supply Co. in Vermont. Their full CBD portfolio and info can be found on their website.
“Farrell Distributing is excited to jump in with both feet on this exciting new and emerging CBD market and lifestyle. It is our goal to give confidence to our retail customers, and ultimately their consumers, that the portfolio we represent is trusted, verified, and easily approachable should they want more information on our brand partners.” - Ryan Chaffin, Director of Marketing & Business Development
Farrell recognizes the market is “laden with products that have poor quality, are inadequately tested, or that misrepresent the product in any number of ways.” Therefore, they are adhering to strict guidelines and regulatory compliance in the brands they represent. Their brand partners offer a range of delicious flavors that contain quality sourced and traced ingredients to ensure the end user is getting a premium, high quality hemp source (often local).
