VFN Members Can Now Join VBSR Marketplace

The Vermont Fresh Network is running a pilot program in partnership with the VBSR Marketplace - and we’re inviting all VFN Members to participate.

 

The VBSR Marketplace is a trading system where businesses:

  1. Offer goods and services (e.g. gift certificates, room rentals, tickets to events)

  2. Receive a “Trade Dollars” credit for the value of that offer

  3. Use those Trade Dollars to purchase items from the network

For large items you can require a mix of Trade Dollars and cash, and there are Marketplace managers who will help you make those arrangements. These Marketplace managers help make connections as businesses look for goods and services, and can help bring you new customers while also saving you cash as you support other Vermont businesses.

 

This marketplace was previously available only to VBSR members, but through a special arrangement, VFN members can now join as well. It’s a way to save money and gain new customers. There is currently a large volume of food-related requests from businesses in the Marketplace. For example:

 

  • Gift certificates - as “thank you” gifts, for mealtime meetings, office treats, etc.

  • Room rentals for meetings, events, other gatherings

  • Catering - from basic coffee & muffins to larger events

 

We believe that the VBSR Marketplace also has offers that our members can use including advertising and sponsorship opportunities, graphic design, glass engraving, custom logo apparel, floral arrangements, sign making, employee bonuses, wellness, trainings, business association memberships - even help designing a crowdfunding campaign. If you don’t see something you need, you can send out your own request and we can help you find it.

We have an internal list of requests from existing Marketplace members who are interested in working with VFN members, so we can begin generating Trade Dollars immediately.
