Sign Up for Vermont Wine Promotion in March

January 30, 2018

In the last week of March (24th - 31st), Vermont Fresh Network members will be hosting a series of events across the state to celebrate Vermont wine.

Participation will take a variety of forms. Possibilities include a wine pairing dinner, guided tastings, dinner with a winemaker talking about their process, classes . . .  as well as less extravagant promotions, such as featuring Vermont wines more prominently on the menu, having a wine sample flight, adding Vermont wine to cocktails, recommended dessert pairing with ice wine / ice cider, etc. The goal is to get consumers excited about Vermont wine and Vermont restaurants excited about promoting it. Each location will choose whatever promotion best fits with their approach to educating consumers about local products.

We are signing up participating locations through March 1st, 2018.

Participating locations will receive coordinating support and marketing support from VFN - there is no cost to participate for VFN or Vermont Grape & Wine Council members (non members will need to pay a $50 listing fee). Marketing associated with this series:

  • Featured on using the new Special Events platform

  • Featured in the Fresh Feed and in all VFN / DigInVT social media (promoted)

  • Supporting outreach from the Grape & Wine Council and participating winemakers (VFN will provide text, sample promos)

  • Supporting outreach from participating distributors

  • Sample text / photos / posts provided to all participants so that they can promote their own event and link the larger series to promote everyone

  • VFN manages online calendar postings (vermontvacation, regional chambers, newspapers, etc.)

  • Story pitched to food, drink, agriculture, travel writers

  • We are working on details for a media partnership with Front Porch Forum, and are marketing partners with Localvore for all of 2018. We'll work with these outlets on promotions.
