Partner Member

A partnership is based upon "handshake agreements" between farmers, food producers and chefs.


They symbolize a willingness to work together, to forge individual partnerships that benefit farms and restaurants. The agreement substantiates the commitment between a farmer, food producer and a chef to buy and sell fresh Vermont products with each other.

Handshake Agreements Required for VFN Membership:

Partnerships must be logged with the Vermont Fresh Network office annually.

Farmers: need 1 VFN member Restaurant that you agree to sell to on a regular basis

Restaurants, Chefs, Food Co-ops w/ cafes, and Non-commercial Food Service: need 3 VFN member farmers and/or food producers that you agree to source from on a regular basis

Food Producers, Food Distributors and Agricultural Co-ops: need to have a relationship with 3 VFN member Restaurants that you sell to and 3 VFN member farmers that you agree to source from to make your product

Additional Requirements:

Must love Vermont and good food, and appreciate the importance of supporting local agriculture. Also, must have handshake agreements with other VFN members and be committed to sourcing and selling foods locally.
